The R/3 File Extractor (FEX) is a tool that performs mass data extraction from legacy SAP systems to CSV files. FEX is based on ReLine, an engine originally implemented for data transformation and mass data changes. FEX uses the ReLine monitoring and scheduling components to maintain a list of relevant database tables (the table pool), generate ABAP programs for the data extraction, and execute the generated ABAP code.
NOTE Logs are not sufficient for documenting what exactly was extracted by FEX. The project lead is responsible for documenting this information.
